GQxO Options Desk

An options terminal with greeks, a tape backtester and cross-venue pricing across five venues.

What we set out to build

A serious options workstation that did not cost institutional money, and that could compare pricing across centralised and decentralised venues in one view.

What was built

  • An 82-strategy catalogue with greeks and Black-Scholes mark-to-market
  • A tape backtester and a live paper desk
  • Cross-venue comparison across five venues, including on-chain pricing read directly via eth_call rather than through a third-party API
  • Seven management engines in the Pro tier: auto-hedge, rolls, pin and margin risk, term structure, managed exits, events and alerts
  • Production-hardened live execution behind a kill switch, arm token, position caps, daily loss limits, a price collar, idempotency and an audit log

What it achieves

  • 193 tests
  • The live signer fails closed: without a valid arm token the desk stays in paper mode
  • A demo mode that hard-disables live execution, so the hosted version cannot trade by accident
The hard part: Cross-venue options pricing is not a data problem, it is five different conventions pretending to be the same thing. Most of the work was normalising them without hiding the differences that actually matter.

How was this built?

This was built through Colabs, our sister company. A founder brought the idea and the domain knowledge, Colabs brought the team, the founder funded the build with a monthly subscription, and they hold equity in the company that resulted. We label every case study, because a studio that publishes its prices and argues the other side of its own comparisons has to be equally precise about its own portfolio.

What state is it in?

In production, paper by default. We state that plainly rather than describing everything as production: several things here are deliberately gated, and the reason is usually evidence rather than a missing feature.
