Terms

The free account, in writing.

These terms cover the site and the account. They do not smuggle in a paid engagement.

[ 01 / AGREEMENT ]

These terms cover the site and the free account

A paid engagement is not hidden in this page.

By using the site or opening an account you agree to these terms. They are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. They are the terms of the free account and the public site. They are not a contract for a build.

OpenHandoff, OpenManaged, and Enterprise start only when both sides agree in writing. That writing names the job, the price or the way the price is calculated, and what is out of scope. Enterprise has no dollar amount on the pricing page. The amount lives in that agreement.

This page was last updated on 3 October 2026. We may update it. The date will move when we do. If you keep using the account after that, the new date is the one that applies to the free account. It does not rewrite a paid agreement already signed.

[ 02 / THE FREE ACCOUNT ]

Opening it buys nothing

No card is taken. No trial clock starts.

You may open one company, invite colleagues, fill in the company record, add catalogue builds to a plan, and use the assistant when it is switched on. None of those actions is an order.

Sending the company record puts it in the review queue. A reply may follow inside the account. Quoted is a conversation. It is not an invoice and not an acceptance.

Published prices are bands. A tilde in front of a price means the band, not a firm quote. The scope builder adds those bands up. The firm number is the one in the written agreement, after your volumes are known.

[ 03 / YOUR SYSTEMS ]

We do not become the owner of your tools

The phone account, the ledger, and the inbox stay in your name.

Where a build runs, it runs on accounts you hold, unless the written agreement says otherwise. Stopping the engagement does not, by itself, switch those accounts off. What happens to a build we were running is named in that agreement, not assumed here.

You are responsible for the words you approve to send to your own customers, and for having the consent those messages need. The assistant drafts and files. It does not get to be the person who decided to send.

[ 04 / ACCEPTABLE USE ]

The account is for operating a business

We can close one that is being used as a weapon.

Do not use the account to break into systems you do not have permission to touch, to send spam, to store card numbers or passwords in the company form, or to harass a person. We may suspend or close an account used that way. We will tell you when we can do that without helping the abuse continue.

Do not rely on the free account as a guaranteed archive. It is operated with reasonable care. It is not a promise of uninterrupted service. To the extent Australian law allows, we are not liable for lost profits arising only from use of the free account. Nothing here limits a right that law does not let us limit, including a right under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

[ 05 / CONTACT ]

One address

hello@betr.agency.

Questions about these terms, a request to delete an account, and a security report all go there. Put Security in the subject if that is what it is.

The privacy page is the list of what the account holds.

If you wanted a scoping call instead, you can still write. The account is the faster record.

[ 09 / QUESTIONS ]

The short version

The long version is above. These are the lines people look for.

Does signup start a subscription?

No. No card is taken. A subscription, where one exists, is the written agreement for OpenManaged or Enterprise.

Are the prices on the site final?

They are published bands. A tilde means the band. The firm number is in the written agreement.

Whose law?

Queensland, Australia.
